The title “Petty Tyranny” is a reference to a quote by Edward Abbey: “No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets.” This blog hopes to cut through the ‘petty tyranny’ prevalent in contemporary discussions of security by divesting from frivolous politics and influences, seeking the best answers to the questions of the day.
